β‘ Quick Answers for Korean Travelers
How fast can I get my Bali visa from Korea?
12 business hours with Express. Priority is 48 hours, Standard is 72 hours. Most Korean travelers pick Priority for honeymoon and family-trip lead times. Express handles last-minute Seoul-to-Denpasar bookings.
Why do Koreans go to Indonesia?
Mostly Bali, especially for honeymoons. Korean travelers come for the honeymoon villas in Seminyak and Nusa Dua, Ubud's couples retreats, and the resort scene that K-dramas made iconic. Yogyakarta and Komodo see longer-stay tourists.
What payment methods work from Korea?
Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, JCB, and international Korean cards. Charge is in USD through a US-based payment processor. KakaoPay, Naver Pay, and Toss are not currently supported; international credit cards are the cleanest path.

β οΈ Heading to Bali? Don't forget the Bali Tourism Levy
If your trip includes Bali, the Bali provincial government charges a separate IDR 150,000 (approximately $10 USD) tourism levy on entry. This is not the same as your visa, and we do not collect it. Pay it directly at lovebali.baliprov.go.id before you fly, or at the kiosk on arrival at DPS. Your eVOA covers Indonesian immigration; the levy covers Bali's local tourism fund.

Indonesia travel tips for Korean travelers
The bits that make a Bali or Jakarta trip from Seoul go smoothly.
Best months for Bali
April to October is dry season. Korean summer break (July to August) and Chuseok (around late September) are popular. Avoid Nyepi (Bali's day of silence in late March) when the entire island, including the airport, closes for 24 hours.
Best Korea routes to DPS
Direct: Garuda Indonesia, Korean Air, Asiana ICN-DPS (~7 hours). 1-stop: Singapore Airlines via SIN, AirAsia via KUL, Cathay via HKG. From Incheon 7 to 9 hours total.
Flight time
Plan 7 to 10 hours from Korea. ICN to Denpasar direct is around 7 hours. Stopover routes via Singapore or Kuala Lumpur add 2 to 3 hours but often come cheaper.
Tips reflect typical conditions for Korean passport holders. Always check current advice at 0404.go.kr before you fly.
Common Indonesia eVisa questions from Korean travelers
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers. If it is not here, see our full FAQ.
Yes. Korean passport holders need a visa for tourism, business, honeymoon, family visits, or transit. Bali is a province of Indonesia (similar to how Jeju is a province of Korea), so the same eVOA applies whether you fly into Denpasar, Jakarta, Yogyakarta, or Lombok.
All-in USD pricing: Standard $99 (72 business hours), Priority $139 (48 hours), Express $179 (12 hours). One transparent price per traveller, no add-ons at checkout.
We charge once in USD through a US-based payment processor. Whether your card adds a foreign-transaction fee on USD purchases depends on your card and bank policy. You see exactly one USD charge on your statement.
The Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs (0404.go.kr) lists most of Indonesia, including Bali, Lombok, Jakarta, and Yogyakarta, at the standard tourist-zone caution level. Use ordinary precautions, register your trip, and keep the Korean Embassy in Jakarta and Consulate in Bali in your phone.
Travel insurance is not legally required, but Korean NHIS does not cover medical care in Indonesia. A medical evacuation from Bali to Singapore or Seoul can run into the tens of thousands of dollars. Most Korean travelers pick a policy that covers medical evacuation, motorbike riding, and trip cancellation.
Yes. Submit both passports in the same checkout session under one payment. Each application is reviewed individually, and both eVOAs arrive together so neither traveller is left chasing a delayed PDF before the trip.
The eVOA is valid 90 days from the date of issue, which is your window to enter Indonesia. Once you arrive, you can stay 30 days. Single entry. Extendable once in-country for another 30 days (60 days total).
The eVOA is fully active at Ngurah Rai (Bali / DPS) and Soekarno-Hatta (Jakarta / CGK), the two airports most Korean travelers use. It is also accepted at Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Lombok, Manado, Medan, Batam, Bintan, and other authorised airports.
Korean passport holders can transit Singapore and Bangkok visa-free in the international zone for short layovers. The Indonesia eVOA covers your entry into Indonesia, not transit through other countries. Check ICA Singapore or Thai Immigration rules if your layover requires leaving the airside zone.
No, they are separate. The eVOA is your entry visa to Indonesia. The Bali Tourism Levy is a separate IDR 150,000 (approximately $10 USD) fee charged by the Bali provincial government. We do not collect or process the levy. Pay it at lovebali.baliprov.go.id before flying or at DPS on arrival.
Yes. The eVOA can be extended once in-country for another 30 days, total stay 60 days. Extensions require an online filing plus an in-person biometric appointment at a local Indonesian immigration office. We can help organise the extension when you are ready.
We recommend 3 to 5 days before your flight. Processing is 12 to 72 business hours. For last-minute trips (Chuseok rush, snap honeymoon bookings), Express delivers in 12 business hours.
Denials are rare (around 2%) thanks to our pre-submission expert review. If your application is declined by Indonesian immigration, our team will walk you through the reason and advise on whether a re-application makes sense. See our refund policy for full details.
